BED BUG CONTROL

Bed bugs are small, brownish-red insects that resemble beetles and can have a significant impact on your well-being and comfort. Despite their tiny size, they can cause considerable trouble. Bed bugs are so named because they tend to make their home in beds, where they have easy access to their preferred food source: human blood. Their bites can result in itchy and irritating welts that are often mistaken for acne or bedsores. As a result, many individuals are unaware that they have a bed bug infestation until it becomes severe.

At Bug out Pest Control, we recognize the immense frustration that bed bugs can cause, and we strive to make the process of eradicating them as stress-free as possible. With a wide range of top-quality products and a proven elimination method, we work tirelessly to restore normalcy and permanently eliminate your bed bug problem. We also offer same-day service to promptly address your bed bug problem right away!

What You Need to Know About Bed Bugs

Contrary to popular belief, bed bugs are not an indication of a dirty or unclean living space. These pests are not drawn to unsanitary environments like other insects such as roaches and flies, as they feed solely on blood. As a result, bed bugs can be found in almost any location, regardless of how often it is cleaned. Furthermore, bed bugs can enter your home through various means such as on clothing, luggage, or even by hitchhiking on a pet’s fur, making it more probable for them to infiltrate your living space than you may think.

Bed bugs emerge while we sleep, searching for any exposed skin on our bodies to latch onto and feed for a duration of three to ten minutes before retreating. This process occurs repeatedly throughout their lifetimes, including before each of the five times they molt as they mature. Once they reach maturity, a solitary female can lay hundreds of eggs, leading to multiple generations of bed bugs emerging within a year.

At Bug out Pest Control, we take pride in providing a comprehensive three-step solution to address and eradicate your bed bug problem.

Step 1: Customized Plan Development

Our bed bug control solution begins with a thorough inspection of your property to identify signs of bed bugs or their presence. After locating the affected areas in your home, we collaborate with you to develop a personalized plan tailored to your specific needs. Each case is unique, and we work diligently to ensure that our treatment strategy leads to effective, long-lasting results.

Step 2: Preparation of Affected Areas

After scheduling your treatment, it’s time to prepare your home for the process. Collect all paper, clutter, and belongings and move them to a designated, isolated area. It can be an unaffected bedroom or even your garage to safeguard them from treatment. We recommend washing bed linens, clothing, and curtains with hot water to destroy bed bug eggs, and you should also encase your mattress and box spring to prevent further infestation.

Step 3: Treatment Performance

Our treatment plan involves applying a specialized chemical product to your home to eliminate bed bugs effectively. Our treatment product has high efficacy ratings and success rates compared to other available options on the market. We also utilize an insect growth regulator, or IGR, which affects development stages, preventing bed bugs from maturing into adults and reproducing in the adult phase. We treat carpeted areas, bed frames, end tables, dressers, chests, baseboards, luggage, and additional furniture in affected areas.

Once treatment is complete and the applied products are dry, you can return to and sleep in the treated rooms. We recommend vacuuming these areas every other day until your bed bug problem is entirely eradicated, which can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. After three or four weeks have passed, you may return clothes to the treated rooms.
