WASPS CONTROL

Wasps are known to disturb our pleasant picnics and force us to seek shelter indoors on beautiful summer days. They have a tendency to linger around garbage cans and decaying fruits. These unwelcomed guests often invade our picnics, lured by the irresistible sweetness of our desserts and sugary drinks. Scientific research has revealed that sugar plays a significant role in their longevity and reproductive success.

With their distinct black and yellow striped bodies, wasps measure around 1.6 cm in length. It’s crucial to differentiate between a wasp and a bee as, unlike bumblebees, wasps are capable of stinging multiple times. Though the sting of a wasp typically fades within 24 hours, a small percentage of individuals may experience anaphylactic shock due to their venom, which can lead to fatality. Wasps are capable of constructing their nests in a variety of locations, including trees, building corners, and even on the ground.

In the event of accidentally disrupting a wasp nest and experiencing an attack, seek refuge indoors as soon as possible. Alternatively, seek shelter in a large body of water if indoors is not an option. Refrain from swatting at them as wasps use chemical signals to communicate with one another, and if they feel threatened, they will transmit a signal to other wasps for assistance.

What Kills Wasps Instantly?

To eliminate wasps quickly, a solution of soap and water can be highly effective. Combine two tablespoons of dish soap with water in a spray bottle and apply it to the wasps’ nest. The soap and water mixture will block the wasps’ respiratory systems, leading to instantaneous death.
